Hids in my 2011 F150 Plat
#16
Couple of people wanted to see the final product, I need to re-aim them but overall I am very happy with the outcome. Well worth the money and I don't have that crazy light on top. Plus the output is 10X better.
Total cost was around 385.00 but he did break one of my tabs and we are working on a solution, said the plastic was brittle but it still has 5 other mounting points and doesn't move so I am not too worried. Might buy just the passenger side headlight and send it back to him if it starts to cause me issues. That price was with everything a wiring harness and balast for the 55 W HIDS. :word:
Nice cut off they just need to be aimed correctly and we are good.

Sorry thought it was in the original post

I have no association with this guy, he did a great job at a reasonable price.
Bulbs are 5K, I wanted 4300K (factory like), but that is the lowest he stocks.

I think they look pretty sweet. But I dont know much about how the cutoff should look. I installed a cheap HID kit on my atv and it works really well for light output. I have be careful how i start the atv due to the power draw of the HIDs. Does this install just plug and play in the original light sockets?

He gave me crap because I got aftermarket headlamps, so i get a kit installed now he gives me crap cause the retro fit, I think he is just pissed I didn't spent a grand getting the same projectors he has. Who knows I like them great price and it doesn't matter what he says!

Apart from the $16 in nuts and bolts from Lowes, I paid the same price as everyone else listed on TRSs website. If anything, your costs more because you paid for install.
The cutoff should be perfectly level (see siggy) The drivers side looks great but the passenger side needs to be aimed up and rotated clockwise. That is something sickHIDs should have taken care of. If I were you, I'd forward that pic to whoever did yours.
And take a picture from 25' from a wall, you should have a 3" drop from the height of the headlights.

Those look great! They make the truck look even MORE high end! Not sure about the passenger side light though...it looks like it needs to be rotated to level out the cutoff line (this isn't coming from a HID pro by any means...just my observation)

He is going to do this for me, but since a tab broke when he took them apart I am just going to get a new housing. I will get it all fixed up. Thanks for the information, they 10X better then the crappy ones I had before. Now I can sell my previous ones to recoup some of the cost.
