My a/c will freeze you're but off within 5 minutes after you get going. Here lately it has been over 100* with heat index's well over 105-110. I have a 2011 EB fx4 with blacked out windows - 2 layers of 5% on back glass/doors and 1 layer of 5% on my front doors. My 05 super duty acted like what y'all have been describing until I blacked my windows out then she would freeze ya out quickly.

My '10 XLT is pumping out 39*F from the vents.
Yesterday it was 103*F here in Danksville and I rode with the AC fan on low and I crack the back slider and my widow, cuz I smoke.
All windows are tinted to match the factory tint, and I use a windshield heat deflector.

Checked this afternoon. At 90°, the discharge temp on normal ac was 42°. Had the fan speed on low and was plenty cool. That was on a 20 min drive at 50m/hr.
Apparently not a 2012 issue, since mine works great. I suspect this truck would keep me cool in 110° weather, unlike the 2010 i had.

Just got back home from a 3-hr ride (2012 XLT) with combined city stop n' go and country miles... outside air temp was in the 102*-107* range the whole time. No problems with the a/c... in fact, started cycling the compressor mid-way thru the trip to keep the cab from getting uncomfortably cold...

I got my truck back the other day from the dealer. They found nothing wrong.
I was told the the center AC vents where blowing 35-40 deg F and the pressures where at normal levels.
I also mentioned to them that some air comes from the bottom vents when I have it on MAX AC. I was told that they checked a few other trucks and that it is normal. It is enough air that I only notice it when wearing flip flops.
I got in my truck yesterday mid afternoon and it does seem to work better. I don't know if maybe when the tech hooked his gauges up it jarred a possible clog in the lines or what. But for now it is working.
If anything else comes about I will post an update.

My 09 is the same way...When I am doing stuff around the farm I am usually in or around my truck all day so I just let it idle...There have been several days when I have been using it 10 plus hours and have never shut it off..Good thing it doesn't overheat...Have to leave it on max recirc...Now I am on crutches and wearing shorts(never wear shorts) and that helps alot lol...Hopefully they will get it fixed in their newer models...I wonder if there is a bigger aftermarket compressor and condenser a guy could put in?? If Ford doesn't have it fixed by time its time to trade I think I will get an F250...From what I understand the Superdutys don't have this problem...AC in my 2010 Silverado would freeze you out..that is the ONLY...ONLY thing I miss about that truck...

Mine works fine. I usually leave set on auto, dual, at 72 degrees. The past couple of days have been at or near 100 degrees. I've been at my nephews house working on his swimming pool. The truck sits on his black top driveway, in the glaring sun and I've kept the windows and sun roof cracked. Before I leave in the afternoon, I will hit the remote and let the truck pre-cool about 5 mins.. I open up the back windows about half way for a few minutes then close her up. One day I did drop the temp down to 70 for a little while. After about 20 mins on the ride home the fan starts to slow. By the time I'm half way home (about a 50 min. ride) I'm turning the temp up to like 73 because it's starting to get cold. Now I do wear shorts and a T-shirt. Although I don't use it that often, I have noticed here lately that the cooled seat is not forcing as much cold air as it use to. I have about 27,000 miles on her now, so it may be about time to change the seat air filters? Don't know about the passanger seat thou, don't sit there................. My '94 Tbird's A/C kicks butt, has since the day I bought it ten years ago................Good luck guys getting your issues fixed.

Have mine at the dealer 2011 lariat they hooked a computer to it and bypassed the heater core and said it works better. They also called ford and the engineers there said that the truck is working as designed even though it gets to 50 degrees while in town driving. I call BS and so does my service manager. He is looking at doing a retrofit in the morning within electric valve that will bypass the heater core while max ac is on. He thinks this will help it is done on the super duty's and he gonna see if he can adapt to my truck. It's 115 in ac. Right now and 50 to 60 degrees at the vents don't cut it I have only had the truck for 2 weeks now and my 12 year old jeep puts it to shame. Will update when and if he can do this
