EB Towing, what tires to buy?
We're gonna tow a travel trailer 2-3 times a year, about 3k miles/year max. And unloaded highway miles about 10-15k/year total.
I need to get rid of these stock tires! Goodyear Wrangler SRAs, hate em! Tire size 275/65R18.
I'm considering Michelins LTX M/S2 but I think they're Ps not LTs. But max load is 2600lbs and that's ok for my F/R GAWR.
What tires are you guys towing with?
Should I move up to a LT/C? I'll mostly be highway driving unloaded, it's not a dedicated tow vehicle. Will I regret a P tire when I do tow?
Thanks for the

Ture story, my dads friend has a ford dually and pulls a 40 gooseneck travel trailer and he got some brand new good year wrangler's put on the truck. After about 10k miles he had a blowout on the rear tire.. He bought a new goodyear wrangler and next trip the other goodyear blew out... Dad told him to get some michelin's and he wouldnt have any more blowouts. Dad told him if a michelin blew out he would put 6 brand new tires of his choice on his truck. Last time i knew he had 62,000 miles on the michelins and havent had a bit of trouble out of em . And the 62000 miles about 80 percent of it was pulling the travel trailer.

I've got Goodyear Wrangler AT's on my 2010, which are LT's. I tow a 6,500 pound Trailer about 12x a year, and my 4,000 pound quad trailer about 6x a year. I have no gripes at all. I'm at about 48,000 miles, and will be surprised if they don't hit 80,000 before they need replacement. They are great in mud, snow, and rain. All said, BFG A/T KO's would go on next, but I should be in a new rig before then,
I ran Michelin LTX AT/2's on my 2008, and at 10 ply with load E rating, they rode tough. In rain, they were great, but for snow, they were not worth the rubber they were made of. Great towing control, though, with a stiff sidewall.

I put LT275/65/18 Hankook Dynapro ATM's on my old 04 FX4, and when towing, great tire, but unloaded (majority of my miles) they were murder on the suspension, very stiff..... But that's to be expected on LT tires I guess....
I'm probably gonna stick to P tires this time around, I don't really have a need for LT tires anyway.
