Traded my 2010 for a 2011 Ecoboost

So, some of you may have seen my thread about 6 weeks ago about my new to me 2010 Screw F-150 XLT. Then 3 days later, there was a thread showing you the truck with a 30' bradford pear laying on it. It was at the body shop for a month. Anyway, when I got it back, I was appalled by the quality of work. Ordinarily I'd have made them keep it and fix it until it was acceptable to me, but in this case, I truly believe the truck would never be the same again.

So, I drove to the local ford dealer and decided to trade it in on a brand new Ecoboost.

Truck has 600 miles on it now (had 6 when I bought it), and so far it's amazing.

It is the Ecoboost XLT trim with 3.55LSD, and the trailering package. It didn't come with the factory installed Trailer Brake Controller, but the dealer installed that as part of the deal. I also go the front side windows tinted and a spray in bedliner. I really couldn't be happier with the truck. It cost me a few $$$, but as I had not even made one payment on the other truck yet, I just couldn't stand to pay that much money for a truck that would never be right.

Also, the shop I took it to was the "Blue Ribbon" shop preferred by my insurance but I will absolutely NEVER take anything there. The work was literally appalling. My wife has no attention to detail on vehicles. She is definitely not a car person, and even she was appalled.

You made the right choice. If you kept the "old" truck you would be second guessing everything. For peace of mind you made the right choice even though it cost you some money. Money well spent.

I have the same truck, just this weekend had a first tow job, hauling over 6000 lbs on hilly wet road. It handled beautifully.
Enjoy!
