EcoBoost Overheating.

while i read the above ford technical document as only the max tow packages get the 51 row radiator, i was curious since so many without that option with ecoboost engines say they have them.
i opened the hood (10 seconds), counted to 41 (30 seconds, i took my time), and confirmed that in fact my regular tow package fx4 ecoboost has the 41 row radiator. kinda stinks, as i was hoping to have the biggest, but, unless i have overheating issues when towing heavy loads i'm not too worried about it.

Or we could just find the parts number tag on the radiator and compare them to the Ford parts lists. I found it on the driver's side on the top just under the plastic fan shroud. Just lift up the corner and there should be a white tag there that lists the part number. Just follow the wire bundle across and the tag is right there.
Mine was:
BL34-8005-EB
888-26-7494-3108
Supplier Code: B281H
The rest is just the date and time the part was made.
This is on a Platinum EB with 3.55 non-Max tow truck. I have a feeling there might be a couple of different options that will put the larger radiator on the truck.

Just got back from my trip. Did not over heat and I had the flight computer. The temps were about 40 degrees cooler and no problems. I even tried full throttle up the 6% grades no problem. The highest temp I saw was 230 at the top of the hill. Intake air temp after intercooler was 71 degrees. I will have to wait till next year when it is hot again 40 degrees cooler sure helped!
I tried to count rows on radiator but the shroud makes it hard. Part # on top is 888 26 7494 0055.

seriously guys, if you want to confirm it for your self. pop the hood of your truck and count, it really doesn't take more than 30 seconds to do it, it's the first thing in front of you.

if you were able to count one inch, it is just as easy to go up the other ten inches or so and count each one...how long does it take you to count to 41 or 51? if by "ripping" your truck apart you mean opening the hood then wow, it's right there man!

Maybe our trucks are different but when I open my hood I am looking at the AC Condenser and it has 45 rows. It is black and behind it is the radiator and it is in raw aluminum, cant get to it to count easily.

That's the same issue I had. I counted the rows in the front "radiator" and came up with 45 also. Since that wasn't an option for any of the radiators, it can't be the radiator. In order to count the rows on the radiator, I would have to remove the fan shrouds. That is not going to happen.

I counted it three times. Looked at this thread again. Counted again. I kind of felt like I was taking the math portion of the SAT again. My answer wasn't matching any of those provided. Finally it dawned on me, that I was counting the wrong thing.
