Think i can find the fx luxury pkg only? or will this truck more than liky come with other things to jack the price up? Really the fx4 has stock just about everything i would want.

Rebates as of about 2-3 weeks ago 2k for supercab and 3k for screw
is that it? i got 3k back in april on mine

Goal was to say 30k or less. Anyone getting new 2011 5.0 ex cab for under 30k?

Good info thanks This 2k was in Indiana, now that i am in OH and selling my truck i really need to find something soon.

I was thinking this would be more fun, but its feeling more and more like work everyday. Guess its worth a great deal.

Anyone know the best way to cut the BS at the dealer. I just want to know bottom dollar i can get the truck for. I understand they are trying to make money but after hours i need them to just get to the point. Pointers?

internet sales, i literally called/emailed about 25 dealers and told them to give me their best price for a specific truck (all would have to be brought in as their was no supercab fx4's in houston, and very few in san antonio, austin and dallas) dealer gave me a price, told them 1200 cheaper than that (ended up about 1100 below invoice)

don't feel stuck with dealers in your specific area, i drove 4 hours to get mine. well worth it for the money i saved.

Yeah man, you could get a brand new XLT 4x4 Scab for that price. It doesnt even have leather. Save your money and get a brand new 2011... Look at the sticker price and offer them 5,000 less right off the bat. Then if they dont bite tell them you can take your money elsewhere. I payed $22,995 for my truck and the sticker was $33,045..

Sounds like a plan! and i have some work to do.

Can they show you invoice or do you have to take thier word for it?

Anyone know what invoice should be for base fx4 supercab 5.0 or eco (i can do the math for add ons)

Also when are 2012s on the lot? and will the 2011 drop in price. Thinking the best deals might be in 1 month

Starting to think i might be over the used truck idea. was just tryin to save some money but i plan to keep the truck 10 plus years so might as well put all the miles on it and the good ones at that.

23k for 33k how did you pull that off? Tell me it wasnt brand new?

Also i am 24 years old so they might just being trying to make a quick buck on someone that they think doesnt know the ropes and thinks they have money now with a good job out of school. idk

Going to start looking hard tomorrow and let you guys know what i come up with and the deals i find.

Also if anyone finds a great deal near IN or OH please pm them to me

Ideal Truck
2011
F150
5.0 (maybe eco, need to reseach more) if i did lease it would be eco and buy would be 5.0 as of right now
FX4
Black (maybe silver)
base or maybe only lux pkg
do not want to pay for sunroof, 20's all that good stuff i can do myself or get later

Thanks,

It was a brand new truck... 6 miles on the odo.. And Im only 21 years old. Just make them want to sell that truck to you. Find the one you want, test drive it, waste their time a little, and if they dont give you atleast 5,000 off invoice, walk away. But make sure they have your phone number. And if they do give you the price make sure they dont try to screw you over in the finance room with all their jargon. Get the price, then go to a calculator and add your interest, then divide by number of months you are financing. Dont let them nickel and dime.

I say its high. not terrible, but its about what auctions are selling them for as well...ebay and such. I have my 2010 for sale and have been asking 33K which i know is alittle high, but mine is modded and was trying to get some money out of it. also has half as many miles as the one you are looking at. You would be better off buying a new one for that. I think i paid 28 or something for mine when i bought it. Screw fx4 blue flame. i got a pic of it in my gallery just to compare

go to edmunds.com, you can choose the truck w/ options and get a rough invoice price. think it was a few hundred off from actual but gets you close.

2 dealers i was at that set me up a deal had no probably printing out a dealer sheet with invoice, hold back, etc. if that was a true sheet i don't know.

as for waiting for a 2011 when 2012's are out, i happened to go that way when i bought my 07 at the very end of the year. wanted a fx4 scab and none existed w/ in 4 hours and at the time it was a buy a truck then or not for another 6 months so i rushed and regretted that. fx4's don't seem to last long once production has stopped.

invoice w/ the plus package was ~34k. then add rebates on top of that. can fight for $1200 below invoice but it will be very difficult. only the dealer i bought mine from entertained that idea and that was because i was supposed to buy it the last day of the month. ended up buying it on the 1st day instead

That's also something that 06yz indirectly pointed out. Wait til the end of the month and wait til October. You'll get a better deal because they're trying to move 2011s off to make room for 2012s. But your more likely to get more money off of an XLT unfortunately because that's where the majority of F150s numbers lie. They make more and stock more on lots so it's easier to get one really cheap.

Get a x plan pin and tell them you want the xplan+ all rebates/incentives from the manufacture. They are still making money on holdback (if truck has been on lot less than 90 days) and financing.

Look up the x plan. Info is on this forum and google.

i got a lecture at one dealer (planet ford off I-45, about my 5th bad experience with them terrible dealer), literally got told for 15 minutes that i had no experience buying a truck and they were giving me this awesome deal. he printed out a sheet on the truck i wanted and iirc he was around 30k (left over 2010 black fx4 supercab). after he got done talking i pretty much called all his BS and walked out. went to another dealer the next morning, priced out the same truck (had to be delivered from dallas) and it was 1500 lower.... yep i know nothing

don't expect to get taken seriously, buying my past truck was a terrible experience at multiple ford dealers. that's why i went the email/calling route instead so they could get me a price or not. i even had my trade in appraised over the internet so all i had to do was sign a few papers and get out of there. my deal took about 40 minutes from pulling in the lot and driving off.

I got the deal I wanted from the internet salesman. My second best deal was over the phone. The two places I wnt in person were the highest. Both told me I was crazy asking for $9000 of the sticker price and that there was no way anyone could beat their $7500 off. I got $8850 off starting with an email and then finishing on the phone. That includes leaving $1000 on the table as I did not want to mess with financing.

Very clean inside and out. not one dent or ding.

Noticed problems
-Could not get backup sensors to work (Said can get working)
-Wheels are pitting (20") (said ford replace under 36k or 3 years)
- Window chip (replace)
- Worst of all looks like the moon roof leaked and the headliner is stained, just about all of it from the front to back. (not sure if they can clean or replace)

Other than that it is almost perfect.

Brand new tires
remote start
6 yr 100000 mile warranty

Thanks guys
Well, on a scale of 1 to 10; with 10 being 'needs everything' and 1 being as 'close to rolling off the lot' condition, I'd rate it a solid 4.
