I think you should consider losing those flaps. In just a few short days they will scratch the paint between them and the flares, and it will be too late to turn back without repaint. I pulled my moulded ones when I levelled and changed rubber. The moulded ones just look stupid. I found them too car-like for my preference. Narrow and cheezey.

I always hated the plain textured look of the factory FX4 flares, thats why I did the PTM on my flares too. Only difference is I used some lariat take-offs and had them repainted.

The PTM looks good, it cleans up the overall image of the vehicle. Good work!

Looks great! I did mine as well, such a nice easy mod that gets you more bang for your buck. Now its an option in 2012 MY for the FX4.

Are those the factory mud flaps?

I agree, they need to go. WeatherTech makes a no drill set that does not come around the outside of the flare and looks much better IMO.
