Steering wheel pop...

2010 screw xlt 5.4 34,000 mi stock, no lift, no fatty wheels

In the last month or so I started feeling a brief but noticeable pop sensation in the steering wheel when it passes through the 360 or 180 position while turning.

It doesn't happen every time but is increasing in frequency.

Thoughts/anyone else?

So an update, for the first time I was able to hear it versus just feeling it. Online I've seen numerous causes ranging from - control arm bushings, steering rack, steering column.

To the dealer it goes, probably around Thursday I'll have time to drop it off. I'll post back at what I find out.

I have a 2010 Lariat screw 4x2 with 26,000 miles and no mods and have recently started feeling/hearing that same popping sensation in the steering wheel. Haven't been to the dealership with it yet. Looking forward to hearing what you find out

sounds like a problem i had with mine. if you keep it at that certain angle where the noise happens does the noise keep happeneing? I have bigger tires on but this sound exactly like my problem. rubber popping sound at 180 and 360. It turned out to be my steering rack and ford replaced it for free under warranty.
