I traded in my fully optioned 2006 FX4, Leather heated captains for a 2011 XLT with convenience pkg and I would never admit it to my wife (she made me trade in my 2006) I am so much more comfortable in the 2011 XLT seats with my back pain. I'm 6'6 220lbs.

If you have tan seats and interested in the jump seat out of the 2010 (which looks a billion times better)...I'll be selling mine sometime in Dec. I bought a center console with the shifter and going that route with my truck. I going to remove the shifter and make a little holder of some sort. I won't need the jump seat though.
I won't be back to the states till Dec, but if you can hold off till then, the offer will stay. Also if you want to try and sell yours first, I'll sell mine to you for whatever you sell yours for so its basically getting it free. ...I just understand your disinterest with that jump seat...not sure what Ford was thinking. The style in my truck is perfect for a jump seat.

I've got the console/buckets in my 2011 Lariat w/heated+cooled seats (not sure if the h/c seats make a difference). So far, the longest I've driven is a 1-hour stretch, but the seats are quite comfortable.

The best seats I've ever sat in were in a 2009 Lincoln MKS w/ the Ultimate Pkg. These are probably 2nd only to those. The amount of minute adjustments and memory feature make it easy for my wife and I to both find comfortable seating positions.

I'll be taking the truck on a road trip this weekend, almost 300 miles each way, so I'll be able to report back next week on the longer trip comfort level.

As for the OP - try getting Lariat seats in your truck, 'cause you'll probably take a bath on your current truck if you trade it in. Also, ask your upholstery person about adding memory foam to the seats, to see if that helps your wife.

I always thought the cloth seats out of the 09+ looked cheap, almost like something out of a cavalier or s-10.

My wife said that the upholstery guy told her the XLT seats in my truck are cheap. He pulled the back of the seat cover off and there is nothing there, no framing in the middle. He said there should be something in there. So he could not add any foam to the back because it would just float in there between the sides.

He also said he cannot "modify" the seat because of liability.

Guess I'll start looking for Lariat bench seat to install.

Anybody know what year seats fit in my 11 truck?

I hate to admit it but the driver seat in my '10 XLT isn't very comfortable for me either but I know it's because my back-side is a bit wider than what a bucket seat is designed for. Even though I don't have much in my wallet, it's a little more comfortable when I take it out of my back pocket. I would imagine it difficult to make a bucket seat that fits everyone. If I could loss about 80 lbs, the seat would probably be more comfortable.

I just got back from a road trip with my wife, and we both found the Lariat's seats comfortable for the long haul!

My 2010 Nissan Maxima had sculpted buckets, and they would dig into my shoulder blades after a few hours, but the F-150's seats were just comfortable for the whole trip, both ways.

Not good to read any of this. The captains chairs in my 2000 XLT are like riding around in a la-z-boy, I have spent 6+ hours sitting in them many days. This is the one area where Ford should not be trying to save costs.

I would, but mine is gray. I'll have to look out for a '10 seat
