Red face Got to do something about these lights!

It time to get some lights on this '10 F150. Original bulbs are not good enough. Would like to get up to a Chevy at least. I believe that the Silver Star Ultra are not made for the F-150's Are the regular Sylvania bulbs any
better than the OE bulbs?? What do you think??????:

Try the PIAA superwhite bulbs.

They are a nice setup.

SS Ultra's are definitely now made for your truck. It took some searching, and leg work, but I managed to get some for my '10.

2 current ebay listings for them....

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Sylvania-Silv...item1e68062124

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/SYLVANIA-SILV...item1c207df4d5

They definitely added more light for me. I also changed my factory fogs for silverstar 9145.

Silverstar all the way. I use them in my heads and fogs. 9008 for heads, 9145 for fogs. Made a notable difference in light output and they are noticably whiter. Especially when sitting next to a car with regular lights. Some people bitch about shortened life expectancy, which I'm sure is true. But I've had mine in for just over two years now. When they burn out, I'll put the same thing back in.

None of the ebay seller at the time were willing to ship to Canada, so I had a major retailer here (Canadian Tire) order them in. I had to hold their hand, and find part numbers and a Sylvania rep for them, but they eventually ordered them. They did though tell me that I had to order a minimum of 4 bulbs (the bastards), or they could not place the order. With the rumor of the life span of them I honestly didn't have a problem with that. Now I got spares. No I'm not sellin em.

Check your local parts stores. If they carry the regular silverstars, they can get the ultra's. Most of these parts jockies don't even know they are available. Don't let em tell you that they are not.

I used Philips Xtreme Vision H13's in my last vehicle and liked them more than the SS Ultras in my F-150. My issue with the SS Ultra is performance in the rain. Otherwise, clear and snowing they are great. Rain, suckage.

I'm happy with the increased output and color of the SS Ultras in my truck. Now I need to get the matching foglight bulbs. Everytime I go to Advance or Autozone, they are out of stock.

I put the regular Silverstar bulbs in mine, after I added a 1.5" leveling spacer. I had to refocus them slightly lower (Phillips screwdriver), but now they light up the road far better.

Silverstars are slightly brighter than stock and shoot further down the road. After having the factory fogs in my previous 3 F150's I really missed them on my '08. I added a set of Hella Micro FF fogs and they really help light up the corners well. The SS's have been in the truck for over a year now, no troubles.
