Screw, 2WD, 6.5' bed, Platinum

It varies WILDLY, depending on your right foot.

My average is 16.5-18.0 if I drive 'normal' (my normal is a bit aggressive and a do A LOT of city/rush hour driving).

If I get on the highway and keep my speed down around 65 and never (and I mean never) really use the throttle, I see 23+ mpg. I got on the highway last week and reset the meter when I got on - drove very, very easy (letting it slow down going uphill, regaining speed on the downhill) at 62-65 mph and the screen showed 27.9 mpg when I took my exit some 35 miles later. It was back to 17 the next day when I started driving 'normal' again.

Regarding towing, I pulled a three-ail trailer with 3 dirt bikes + a bed completely fully of tools, gear, spare wheels/tires, etc. + 3 guys each around 200 pounds from Dallas to Gunnison, CO (around 900 miles) at 70-75 mph the whole way and my average for the entire trip was 15.4 MPG. I was impressed, especially considering that I didn't baby it one bit.

hehe....sorry FX4; I know how that throws a wrench in our logic since I was close on pulling the trigger on a Raptor too. I suppose daily stop/go City driving in the Raptor would still be worse, but at 11.9 to 13 mpg with just 33s from my EcoBoost, I really wonder if I could have lived with 10-12 mpg in a Raptor with 35s.

I am still holding out hope that mileage will still improve as I really don't have many miles on mine yet.

Definitely impressed with the power, especially since I got the PCM reprogrammed as it has that intial low torque surge back despite the tires. The peformance really takes the sting out the lower than expected mileage.

2011 FX4 EcoBoost. 3.73, 2.5" leveling kit- Add a Leaf in the rear, turning 305/65/R18 BFG A/T 10ply. Averaging around 13.7- 14.5. I also live in WV, so with all the up and down hills, its hard to get decent mileage. When I tow my 34' travel trailer i average around 9. So all in all, it is a improvement, on mileage and power from my 2008 5.4L with 12mpg being the best around town and 17 on trip.

Mine's an FX4 with 3.73s and 18s. I only have 2k miles on it but I'm getting 17-18 with mixed driving. I went up north a couple of weeks ago and was getting almost 20 on two lane roads at 60mph. As soon as I hit I-75 and started doing 75-80 to keep up with the flow it dropped to 17.

King Ranch 4x4, 3.73, 6.5 bed, 18" stock tires, 5500 miles on the truck. I drive 70 miles a day, 2 lane, interstate, and gravel roads, uneven terrain and wind very common (Rocky Mountain Front), keeping the truck at around 60MPH my average is 19.5 now that the weather has gotten cold here in Montana. At the end of summer I was getting 20.5. I do get on it every once in a while, but try to drive easy most of the time. Really impressed with this truck and the way it drives, I have plenty of power when I need it, but so quiet and smooth. Pulled a trailer with 2 bikes on it last weekend up and over 2 passes and 45MPH head winds part of the time couldn't even tell the trailer was back there, trip over 14.5 average, trip home 17.76 average.

Is that the overall average for the trip? Impressive if so. I haven't managed better than 19.5 for a trip.

I average around 15 overall with mostly backroads and semi city. No congested traffic driving. I hate to think what it would be like in a real city situation, I know that any time I sit and idle it sucks the average down very rapidly.

I'm am very disappointed with the tow consumption. With a light trailer around 3500lb I get around 8mpg which is pathetic. If you tow a lot it seems that a super duty with diesel is the way to go.

Ecoboost has amazing performance but fuel consumption is not all that it's cracked up to be. Time they brought out a diesel option for the F150. I don't need anything bigger but the diesel is the way to go.

I have 18,000 km on mine (Lariat, Screw, 20", 3.73, bakflip F1 tonneau) on raod trips in the summer (two adults, and gear) I was getting 18-20mpg (but cruising at 65-70 mph)

Now with winter and in town driving more getting 14mpg - very rarely 15 mpg.

FX4, EB, 3.73s. 2" level and 305/55/20 Nitto Terras. I live outside of Houston so most of my driving is "City" BUT there is a lot of "Freeway" driving in that "City" average so.... I call it 50/50 mixed...

I average about 13.5 (hand calculated) driving it normal. If I REALLY baby it, like keep it at 65 mph and have more freeway driving then stop light stuff, I can creep into the 14.0-14.2 mpg (hand calc) range but that is really pushing it... Straight up "IN TOWN" driving (stop lights every 1/8-1/4 mile and not over 40 mph) it will drop in the 12 mpg range quick....

I have not had it on a true high way trip yet (like 75 miles straight hwy) but I doubt it will break 15 mpg... Just too much wind drag on the tires I guess..

I am not at all happy about the mileage on this thing. It runs perfect and has great power but.....the mileage sucks..... Just turned 5000 miles and so no increase in mpg.

BTW in these same driving conditions with the stock wheels/tires it got aroudn 16.0-16.5 mpg at best....

Same setup as you ajrothm with exactly the same results. Been driving a lot more in town with moderate use of the right pedal and now getting in the 12s. If the truck didn't have so much more power over the 5.4L I had, it would be a real bummer because the mileage is the same or worse than before (and I had a bigger lift with 35s).

But dang, still like hearing those turbos spool up every now and then.
