Brake dust
Man I was really hoping Ford had solved this brake dust issue by now.. My 05 was horrible until I switched to ceramic.. So now I have 2011 FX4 with the 20in
painted rims (200 miles on them) and already seeing brake dust.. Any of you guys having the same issues? Do I seriously need to swap factory pads out for thermoquiets on brand new freaking truck?
Side note- Its snowing here and I cant wait to see how she performs! Love everything else about the truck so far...Happy holidays fellas!!

Same here. I replaced the pads on my 2005 at 11,000 miles due to the dust. No dust on this 2011.

I washed my 2011 this past weekend and found that the front wheels had a lot more brake dust than the rears, but not more so than any car I've owned.
If you want to help keep brake dust off, just clean the wheels really well, apply some Turtle Wax Ice liquid wax (no residue!) and hose off once in a while. You'll need to reapply the wax about every two to three weeks though, to keep the dust away. I did this on my 2004 Mustang GT convertible and never had dirty wheels
