2012 Oxford White FX4 w/ Appearance Package
#62
This could be the WORST decision ford has made regarding appearance packages...
Blue Flame:

Tux. Black:

Oxford White:
AutoTrader
Red Candy Met.:

The Blue Flame with the black wheels, gray stripe, red badges and interior, black grille and all the other junk is more than a hot mess of ugly.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I just bought the dark grey one and it looks great in person. The other colors i can pass. Yes the stripe is tailored to the color of the truck. I saw the red one and the stripe has a reddish color to it. Didn't like it. The dealership can't keep them on the lot. Only reason I got it is cause my wife works "upstairs" at the dealer. The other red one was sold before it got there.

I disagree but to each's own. If we all had the same trucks wed be driving the same trucks which is boring.

I'm not a fan of the exterior of the appearance package but...I could have one of those things looking awesome in about 1.5 hours. With my trusty hairdryer and some satin black paint those ridiculous decals and red badges would be history. The black wheels look sick on some colors and not so good on other colors.

And yes most colors with this are just ugly. My boss has been driving around a black one and on black it looks good.

The black wheels make the whole wheel/tire package look kind of small to me. Looks like they need to be a couple inches taller overall to fill the wheel wells. They probably aren't any shorter than a comparable "shiny" wheel, they just look smaller. I like a 4WD to have some sidewall showing.

Still tacky looking no matter what color you pick...IMHO. Dodge had a better graphics package on its Power Wagon. Don't like the red lettering either and the interior is way too dark (depressing) for my taste.
Will be interesting to see how many people actually like it and buy the package; despite all the negative feedback on the forum so far, you just never know and Ford may keep this available for awhile as long as folks order it.
