Truck Shakes At 100km/h and Above

I just picked up my new 2011 F150 last week and notice that it shakes when I hit 100km/h and above. It's not crazy but certainly noticeable. Does this sound like a wheel balance issue?

Thanks.

That's the first thing I'd check.

However, one week old, why aren't you back at the dealership yet?

Ya I have a call in to the dealership to see what they are going to do. I just want to educate myself the best I can before I take it back in

My guess is the dealer will balance the tires free of charge. Sounds like that's your issue right there.

Well the dealer called back and apparently it has 2 bad tires. They failed the road force test (I'm not even sure what that is) so they are ordering 2 new tires....Makes me wonder how that can happen on a brand new truck?

It happens - Ford doesn't make the tires.

They don't road force balance the tires at the assembly line. It is a more strict balancing machine. I bet if they just did a regular balance and you put them on, you would have been happy.
