offer for new plat

Been looking for an 11 screw with the 157 wb fx4. local dealer had couple advertised but when i went there sat they had two platinums with the long wheel base and one xlt. Hadnt really looked at the platinums before due to price and general excess of options. This one was silver and had everything. wifey liked it and wanted to test drive it. Of course she loved the eco and wanted me to buy this truck. sticker was 52xxx. I offered 40k and the dealer countered with 44 including all possible rebates for trade in and financing. I left it at that with the dealer. I didnt think getting 8k off was enough for an 11 with an msrp of 52. be interesting to see if they will call back this week. I also dont care for the way the 20" perellis ride but I assume I can put something other than low profile tires on those rims cant I? Do you guys think the offer of 40k is ridiculous? lol I am not in a hurry and may end up ordering a 12 fx4 or lariat anyway but wow that plat was nice.

i'd be happy around 42k max on that truck. Have you tried other dealers? shoot some other local dealers internet dept an email (specifiy a specific truck on that dealers lot) and see what they come back at. Alot less hassle than dealing with a dumbass salesman. I'd even try sending that same dealers internet sales an email and see where they come in at.

I agree $42,000 is what I would expect to pay. I would try to find their build date because if they've been sitting there... Do you have the VIN? I could run it in OASIS for you to find out.

I dont have the VIN but I did shoot an email to a different dealers internet mgr that I have known for a while asking if they could bring it in and turn it over to me for 40K. be interesing what they come back with on that. They have been looking for 6 months for a particular type truck for me with every little option I was wanting and to their credit they call or email me every week telling me what is available. But its hard to find exactly what i was looking for. This Plat wasnt even int he pic but If the price is right I can be flexible I guess. I let you know. I think this would be the best deal I ever got if it were to come to pass....
You can put reg tires (with a real sidewall) on thos 20" rims cant you? I really dislike the low profile tires and they ride like heck.

assuming it's 4wd you can fit a 35" tire on the stock wheels with just a leveling kit.

33's if it's 2wd.

Did you look on their website? Most FoMoCo dealerships online list the vin numbers.

I dont think you are being realistic asking for 14K off. Typically, about the best you can hope for is about 10K.
