I'm liking the new FX Appearance Package in red. If I bought it, the stripe is staying. It ties it all together.

no 5.0 love?
Yeah, they even said it gets the same mileage, so why the big favor. Slightly more pulling capacity doesn't seem worthy of praise for the extra $850 and worse pulling MPG (from what i read on these forums)

Okay, I have never seen why people do the black wheel thing. To me, it has always been uuuuuuugly. I just saw a guy buy a new Superduty in white with the tan two-tone, who ripped off the wheels to add blackwalls and black rims. Huh?
Now, that said, I love those 20" FX4 black rims. They look sweet... But ONLY on a black truck. I may have to consider an upgrade on my next truck.

They said they got about the same mileage; however, it should be noted that:
1) EcoBoost was 4x2 and 5.0 was 4x4. Advantage EcoBoost; until you see that the EcoBoost was a loaded up Platinum SuperCrew and the 5.0 was an XLT SuperCab. The EcoBoost SuperCrew was slightly heavier and less aerodynamic.
2) What's more, EcoBoost towed a 8,250 lb trailer and hauled a 1,275 lbs.
The 5.0 towed a 6,900 lb trailer and hauled 1,185.
The heavier less aerodynamic SuperCrew EcoBoost towing and hauling more weight, still got about the same mileage as the SuperCab 5.0 towing significantly less weight.
If they want to make a valid comparison on mileage, use the same cabs and use the same trailers.

I too am kind of disapointed in towing MPG, but look until this configuration nothing could tow 11,300 and I was stuck with my F250 paying out the ace for fuel and Maint.
Flat out there is nothing on the market in this class that has the peformance that this has with the MPG's. So I say to spend money on a V8 just because of the sound is not worth it.
Like it or not MPG's is going to dominate car building, not only because of CAFE but because of peopls wallets, we will not see $2 a gallon ever again, I doubt we see $3 a gallon either. Rumor is chevy will have an ecoboost out next year with its totally new line up and dodge is working on something. As much as I love the American V8 I think its going to go by the way side, these turboed engines are only going to get better.

Doesn't matter which engine you have and what the "tow rating" is - towing 10k with a 1/2 ton truck will almost always put you over one of the other limits - such as GVWR, GAWR, and/or payload. The max tow rating is under artificial ideal conditions - 150# driver, 1/4 tank of gas, NO cargo or passengers whatsoever, and minimum tongue weight.
