Most dynos of the truck, stock and aftermarket, have confirmed that the stock numbers were underrated.

20+ hp you should be able to feel it.
Also, as the webpage doesn't state it, at what level of micron does the filter filter down to? Oiled and Non-Oiled?
Lots of reviews of it on F150forum.com, most have reported noticeable power gains and multiple users have confirmed faster 1/4 mile times.

One thing I can report though, Charles at AJUSA is really good to deal with from what I've experienced so far, answered a bunch of questions and had quick email feedback, Thanks !!
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate the business and am always here to answer any questions you may have.

So is part 401-299 the one with the tube also and not just the basket and filter? Is the 401-299-1 just the basket and filter?

I am comparing pricing and am trying to ensure I get the best bang for the money but not sure if the tube is necessary but seems to be a wanted item if you are going to get the full benefit, right?!?

Also, to answer my earlier question - oiled filter is 820 CFM, while the dry is 1400 CFM.

I can't get an answer on if the dry traps the same as the oil but from the CFM off the website it seems to appear that it doesn't.

What about the prefilter? I can't seem to find details about it's affect on the airaid filter whether it decreases CFM % and what additional filtration it does.

Not sure why this information is not redially available or is it just not everyone cares but if I am going to change something on my truck, I want the details.
Sorry for the confusion on the part numbers.

400-299 & 401-299
This is the kit for the 5.0, with the tube

The 400-239-1 & 401-239-1 fit either the ecoboost, the 3.7 v6 or the 5.0 and does not come with a tube. The tube can be added to the 5.0 at a later time.

Those CFM numbers are not correct for this filter. Both filters in this system flow over 1500cfm.

Thank you for the great responses, clarity on the product numbers, and the correction on the CFMs.

So I'm about to pull the trigger on a CAI. Why Airaid over the rest?

Do you have the dyno numbers and chart for the 5.0?
