Look on the bright side. You can pop out dents with a suction cup easier.

Thats because of the hinges and such. Im not so sure panels are any thinner than they were 10 years ago, are they thinner than 30 years ago probably. I think a lot of it is just bigger panels so they flex more. Theres a lot more fiberglass panels on vehicles these days as well.

Theres springs on the inside of the tailgate to make it lighter. But compared to my 2005 F150 the metal all around is thinner. I notice that the first day.

What does this even mean? By hand? Of course you could dent it with your hand. Ever see someone punch a car? It doesn't matter what kind of car or even year.

My '10 doesn't have any springs on the inside of the tailgate.

What it does have is a torsion bar that becomes loaded when the tailgate is lowered.

Maybe FoMoCo changed it?? And now they put springs inside the tailgate??

he is referring to the pressure needed to remove wax when using a polishing rag as opposed to a buffer.

I crack up every time I shut my doors and watch the door panels flex.

YES!! I know you can dent any truck it you hit it hard enough, But I am talking about just normal pressure to remove wax. Where I was at on the door it pop in and then back out, like a pie pan lol lol..

The sheet metal is much thinner than 10 years ago. I had a 2002 and it was far thicker than this metal is. When I first got the truck and went by a semi on a two lane, I thought the hood was going to buckle. I dont' think they could make it any thinner.

I think if you took the paint off of it, you could see through the body panels.

There should be no worries about denting the vehicle when removing any products within normal means.
