Dont put yourself through that. I had this same debate with a friend of my wifes. She wanted a truck and at the time the rebates were crazy... she didnt want to spend a bunch so she was pretty set on an STX truck. she got a manual 2wd regular cab short bed..........it wasnt 3 months and winter came in missouri.....She called and said, "should have got the 4x4 for a few thousand more bucks" traded it off for a jeep.

I live in Northeast Ohio. 4X4 Will not do it any other way!!

 

Had a friend that got a good deal on a 4x2 and figured with the savings he would put a lift on the truck and that would get him through the snow. First snow storm dropped 8" and the plows came through the streets and my buddy got stuck at the end of his driveway. He had to use his wifes Rav 4 to get him out. A year later he tried selling it and no one would even come to look at it because it was 2 wheel drive and lifted. He got a good deal on a trade in and bought a 2012 Explorer 4x4.
