This is not a flame, just questions since I don't know...I've seen this done on wheels and other stuff, including your emblems, but why plasti-dip?? Why not some type of trim paint which would yield about the same gloss level of black? What does the plasti-dip do that paint wouldn't...what's the objective? Or is it mainly for the finish it gives you? Thanks for the info, and it does look good. Fits your truck well!

Plasti-Dip is pretty durable but you can peel it off if you decide to and the emblems will still be nice shiny chrome. Actually I don't care for shiney chrome but you know what I mean.

Looks good Njb5509

Yes that exact why ... Cost me 6 bucks and some tape and time .... And if I want I can peel it right off

I'm curious if you brushed it on? Did you also paint the orange reflectors?

Its funny you posted this, my buddy mentioned it to me today that he wanted to get a couple cans and maybe spray it on his chrome grille. Never heard of it until now. Does it have any negative affects? Dulling, scratching, sticky residue?

Used it on my rockers. Had to redo one side because the plastidip was too cold. Peeled it right off after it cured for a bit. No scratches, sticky residue or anything that I could see

Please update us if your buddy does this. I want to get rid of the big ugly chrome grill on my black truck.

Looks great OP!

I used it on my stock wheels on my 4 wheeler and surprisingly held up for 4 hard rides in thick mud.. Since then, I put aftermarket wheels and tires on but the stock wheels are sitting in my garage with Plastidip still on them. So yes its very durable IMO.

I plan on Plastidiping my front grille soon.. I was going to paint it but allot of guys have issues with chipping from road debris.
