I think I would paint the surround the trucks color. Like so many 09 up F-150s, the grille is too big to be all chrome.

The grill is not my taste but if YOU like it that is all that matters.

I think I would take the guys advice and proceed with caution if you plan on doing that. You might be better off getting a PTM surround and buying a chrome insert.

Since you asked, I don't like it. Looks cheap and tacky. I have yet to see a tasteful aftermarket grille for the 2009+ trucks.

In my opinion, the FX2 grille is the best looking one out there.
