Thanks! Should be trying to get tint this week! I think I'm going to just get 20 on the driver and passenger side to match the back

ALSO: Lining up a job at Con-Way freight as a trailer mechanic which means bring on the mods!

Cleaned her up and polished her, getting tint in the next day or 2. Found this on CL- Legit?
http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/pts/2903460121.html

EDIT: Might Skip the sketchy CL guy and pick one up I found brand new sealed in box for $125. How much does a tune from mike at 5Star cost?

I'm sure it's locked.

Justin @ VMP Tuning charges $60 a tune.

Are we talking shops that actually DYNO TUNE or ones that run the programmers canned or even "E-Mail" tunes? Justin sent me 3 tunes for my 5.4L and they ALL PINGED HARD. They were 89 octane tunes and still pinged on 91. I called him up and he said "take out some timing" - I'm like OK thanks, I knew that - but again that's the extent of his "fix" - There is NOTHING like having YOUR truck on the rollers, not one like it. I learned that the hard way. Way too many variables, cond of motor, state of tune, type of gas, wheel/tire/gearing combos, does my intake/exhaust outflow the one he was using etc etc. For the same price I made 5 pulls on a roller. Come to find that my VMP tune had too much timing and not enough fuel (duh!) so whether it was Vegas' gas, 2800ft elevation (which richens up A/F R) or my stuff out-flowed his, it was dyno-tuning that got it exactly right. You're not far from Dallas where there are a TON of shops putting out fast Fords. Last month was the opening round of "Fun Ford Weekend" in TX, trust me you will not have a hard time finding a good tuner in that state.

SCT charges $150 to unlock them IIRC -

Justin will package tunes together for you. I paid $130 for 3 IF you decide to go that route.

If you want to have it simply dyno'd, no.

If you want to have it dyno tuned, of course.

NO...what I did do was call him. Did he mention DL or anything else to help? Nope... He said "take out some timing" and that's it - Again...Driving around with your laptop, creating a file that you send to a guy who is notoriously long (not as bad a Troyer) to get tunes to you, then hope he fixes it and do it all over again if its not. Yeah like I said, NOTHING is as exact for your truck as dyno-tuning
