T.V. ad's
I sure am getting sick of seeing the Ford commercials claiming the 2011-2012 F-150 gets 32 mpg. Now I know their tests are done on a closed course, no wind, nice weather etc, but I just find this to be false advertising. My 2011 Scab 5.0 gets 15.8mpg, not even HALF of the claims on tv...
Now I realize the commercials are geared towards Ecoboost, but even they arnt getting that kind of mileage!
Just my rant for the day!!
Flame away people!

I don't know how to convert the numbers to Canadian mpg. My window sticker says that my truck is likely to get 16 city, 21 highway, with a combined average of 18. I have never got less than 17, have achieved 22 on more than one occasion and have a combined average, from my first year of ownership, of 20. My numbers are better than advertised.
There are a lot of factors that go into mpg. The numbers that the advertise are a best case scenario, and aren't going to be typical. There are several examples in this forum, of people who are acheiving better than typical mpg. In my case, it's a conscious effort.
People who complain about their mpg might want to drive different ways to see what nets them the best mpg.
