Good deal on a 2010??

So I've been looking a lot lately at newer trucks. My local dealer has a bunch of Certified Pre Owned with a 7yr/100k power train warranty. I've found two I like. Both are 2010s. One is an XLT supercrew with all the options, 4x4, 6.5 bed, 5.4L, 34k miles. The other is an XLT supercab, all the options (has a better looking chrome grille), 4x4 6.5 bed, 5.4L, 23k miles. They'll give me either for $25k. Seems like a good deal?

I'd be trading my 2008 4.2L, 5 speed work truck with 47k miles. They'll give me $11k for my trade.

This deal seems too hard to pass. Any issues with the 2010 5.4? Spark plugs, cam phasers, injectors?

Just wanted to see what everyone thought of that deal. I'm going back to the dealer tomorrow to drive both of them.

Seems like reasonable enough deals to me. But, if they are offering 25K, then they are willing to sell it for less. Like grandpappy used to say, "NEGOTIATE". Also, if it were me personally, I would go for the crew cab truck. You can always swap grilles later if thats what you want, cant swap cabs. Best of luck!

I bought mine for 30K brand new in 2010. You would think 2 years and over 20K miles later it would be more than 5K off the price of a new one.

Spark plugs and injectors are fine, phasers are generally OK, but the 6 speed trans may have some programming-related issues.
