whats the catch?

guy on here kinda posted the same question but i figured id make a thread and directly ask if there is a catch and if anybodys had any issues with this..

im buying a truck out of state next week for about 4,000 less than what my local dealer can do for me.. is there any catch on why the price is so low compared to what im dealing with locally? where i live im looking at a 2012 fx4 supercrew with luxury package for about 39,000 and where im gonna be buying a truck its the same truck for 36200-37500$.. im buying mine outright and getting it shipped so ill be paying the internet price of the truck -750 coupon ive got plus 1200 for shipping and dealer fees..and not tagging the truck/paying taxes until the truck gets to me.. ( my choice ) is this legit? i thought it was but wanted to be sure..

basically

internet price of truck+1200 in fees and shipping - 750$ coupon from ford.. just wanted to make sure im not missing something here... thats what the ford dealer says but wanted to make sure i didnt run into anything else when i buy it next week and why the price is so low compared to here in FL

I think another poster was screwed on paying taxes out of state. If I recall, you shouldn't pay taxes on delivery of the truck but rather when you register it in-state.

From what I learned you will pay the tax in the state you live in and the internet price is cheaper because the internet salesmen needs to move product in quantity every month unlike your show room sales man that makes his money on every individual sale. If that makes sense.

I just did this in Oct. You pay the taxes when you go register it and get a tag.

As far as taxes go, it may differ by state....

I bought my truck in Indiana and paid Indiana sales tax although I live in Illinois. When I went to register it in Illinois and they checked the tax and made sure I paid what I would have paid in Illinois. If I paid less I would pay the difference, if I would have paid more (which i did) then its Indiana's money....
