2011 FX-2 with Advance Trac and RSC
Today I had to back out of a small parking lot due to congestion for a distance of about 50Ft. After shifting from reverse to drive I noticed a warning, "Service Advance Trac" in the message center and a Advance Trac light in the cluster.
My turn signals and emergency flashers do work. I have only driven the truck about 5 miles since the problem started, but a call to the local dealer to schedule service said it was OK to drive at lower speeds until it goes in next Tues. Truck only has 11,200 miles.
Will post results from the dealer visit as they develope. Would appreciate any other related incidents and what it took to correct the problem.

The truck went into a Ford dealer, today 01-29-13, where a IDS scan was performed and a code C1963 was found. The service manager said there is a TSB, 12-11-18 that calls to reprogram the ABS module, which they did and said I would have no problems now. Stay tuned.

Update.....Two days after the message center and warning light came on I started the truck, light still on, and held the advance trac button down for a good 5 seconds, drove the truck for about 2 miles reaching a speed above 35 mph. Then shut the motor off and restarted. No light or warning message.

Same issue here....
Same issue here....47K on the truck. "Service Advanctrac" light and loss of turn signals whenever turning the steering wheel sharply (parking or any other everyday maneuvering). Dealer says out of warranty, $1,700 to replace the steering gear/rack. Hard to believe Ford isn't doing anything for its F-150 owners after reading all of these posts...

The other challenge I have with this issue is that Ford can't acknowledge if any design changes happened to eliminate this issue. As a result, if you replace a 1400-1700 rack at 50k miles, you very well may be replacing it again at 100k, 150k, 200k. For guys like me who roll 40k a year in miles, I can't imagine replacing the rack every 15 months potentially.
