Welcome to the forum, salvara85. Was the warning on when you arrived at the dealership for diagnosis? Has it popped up again? Let me know how many miles are on your truck currently; I'd like to see what I can do to assist.

I arrived to dealership yesterday with the warning, but once I turned off the vehicle the warning was gone, so the dealership couldn't replicate the problem. The warning popped up again today so I'm heading to the dealership right this moment, the truck has 23,000 miles.

Thanks for responding, salvara85! I'm glad you're going back to the dealer; come back and tell us if they were able to see the warning. Additionally, let's make sure this is on the radar of your regional customer service manager. PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll push this up the line.

Not so lucky

I too have had the same problem with my 2011 f-150 and followed up with Ford to see if they could help with no luck. I will now have to spend $1500 on my truck to fix a problem that Ford is well aware of.

Big time bummer!!

Thanks for the quick reply, BigRed7372. I'd like to dig a bit deeper into this. Send me a private message (PM) with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll start researching options.

I have a 2012 f-150 EcoBoost XLT and have an on and off service advancetrac light now for several months.
I took to dealer they reprogrammed computer and was ok for a short period of time. If I shut the truck off and then start it the light usually goes away. I have also had the digital readout show just dotted lines, one time even the speedometer even went blank. Also having some transmission problems. Sometimes it doesn't want to shift out of first gear. Shifting to neutral let it shift sometimes or shifting to reverse then back to drive or shuting down and restarting usually works. Have also shifted from 2H to 4H and back will clear light.
Have also had a few harsh shifts. I have no confidence in dealer fixing problem, they didn't even know what service advancetrac meant. I figure I will drive it until it quits, then maybe they can fix it. 43000 miles.
