Traction control and bigger tires TSB #

Hi, does anyone know the TSB # for the traction control coming on with bigger tires. I have a 2010 150 with 2 1/2 AS leveling kit and 3 inch rear blocks with 295/70/18 Terra grapplers. I did have to do a little trimming on front valence, only rubbed when in full lock in reverse. I called the dealer to make an appointment for this Monday and told him about the traction control. He said since the parameters are different it could make the traction control come on. I told him about this website and other people have had theirs reflashed. He said they could do that but didn,t seem real sure of himself. I just want to have as much info as possible so they don,t give me any problems. Thank you in advance for any help.

that should not be an issue for them to change. however i know there is only so far they are able to go one way or the other.. on my 99. they had it closer but not perfect.

then i got an EDGE.

on my 09 i have now i installed an EDGE CTS.. at the time of tire install and bilstien 5100's leveld up front.

its dead on side by side another vehicle. and TCS never complains.

depending on dealer they might charge 1/2 hr shop rate to hook up puter. its out on TSB however some places try to get ya anyway even if you are still in b-b warranty

Most dealers won't charge for anything less than an hour.

New TSB 11-02-05 for 2009-10 F150. Reporgramming ABS module for tracion control light flashing.

ISSUE:

Some 2009-2010 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a condition where the Trac Control indicator is flashing or illuminated with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) C1278, C1280, C1282 and C1963 stored in the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module. In addition, some customers may complain of intermittent nuisance activation of the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) during low speed turning maneuvers while towing a trailer only.
ACTION:

Reprogram the ABS module to the latest calibration using IDS release 71.02 and higher.

It is vital that you tell the dealer that the tcs engages while towing...... and refer to this tsb number. If you do that, they will fix it. If you play the honest card, they will not do the tsb. You have to lie to them.

I'm running 35's now and have the TC come one every so often in certain circumstances. i am not going to bring the truck to the dealership with the 35's and tell them that the tC is coming on....that would be stupid of me...Im putting the stockers back on...going to tell them it happens when im towing....Why do ppl make things so tough for themselves?
