2012 5.0

Guys I have been reading this forum for a while now and it seems to be more guys with ecoboost then with 5.0? I have drove both and I went with the 5.0 not because it was any better but it meets my needs. I am coming from a 2010 5.4 with 3.15gears to a 2012 5.0 4x4 with 3.73gears. Is it any problems with the 5.0 that I am not aware of? The truck I drove had a 3.55gear with a 5.0 and it was head over heels stronger then my truck. I do like the way the 5.0 sounds also lol lol. Can some guys with 5.0 chime in and let me know what you think of your trucks and anything to watch for. Thanks guys for your help..

Haven't hit 900 miles yet on my 5.0 so no problems to report. The noisy injectors are the only thing I don't care for. I had an 05 4.6 and it was fine for what I needed, moving up to this truck is like night and day. Plenty of power and a nice rumble when you need it to.

I have 20,700 on mine and love it. It would be my choice again if I bought another truck today. No problems, great quickness, fantastic gas mileage, and sounds so good I have to punch it too often just to hear it.

New to the 5.0l

After spending three less than fun filled weeks with a 2011 EB. I traded today for a 2012 F150 with a 5.0. And 3.55 gears with e lock diff. I'm at 32 miles, Wish me luck.

Love my 5.0, test drove an EB but couldn't bring myself to buy a V6. The EB had tons of power but you stomp down on the gas and there is no roar of a monster so I had to buy the 5.0 lol

I have a 2011 with the 5.0. I just hit 30k and no problems. Just did a 700mile trip to the gator nationals and was averaging 19mpg.

Had a custom ordered 09 Super cab for my divorce and traded it for a super crew 5,0 liking the 5.0 a lot better not sure if just because its a super crew over super cab but fuel mileage is about 2mpg better than my 5.4.

9 mpg towing a LIGHT trailer, sooty tail pipe, rough idle, chugging in reverse, 14mpg just the truck on highway(down from 17 with 300 less miles) etc...

Really like my 11 FX4 5.0 Compared to my 06 5.4 I would say the engine is a little quieter, I am getting about 2 mpg better, and the 5.0 revs quicker and sounds better. Can't really say anything bad about the 06 as it always ran perfect. This truck is just a little nicer. No problems yet at 5K.
