2010 Screw radio issue

Posting this for one of my brothers. It's not my truck.

His 2010 F-150 XL Decor Screw has been having a strange issue that I have read about lately. He bought it new so still under warranty.

The truck will have the radio turn on randomly when he starts the truck at times. It will also not shut off after he presses the power off button and continue to stay on after the door is open. He has to keep trying and it eventually shuts off after a while. It was even playing with the display off I think he said.

Today the Ford dealer said they couldn't find an issue. I called that one Any thoughts? The thread I found was from my generation 2004-08 and said there was a bad splice on the drivers side rear door sill plate loom. I thought that might be it, but not positive.

Is it a stock radio or are we looking at aftermarket material here? Is the remote start activated? Do you have other components that you added after the fact that use the same fuses (ie: a hardwired GPS or something)?

My guess is that you probably won't be able to replicate the issue while at the dealer. So try to have your buddy take a video of the problem when it occurs. At least then you'll be able to show the dealer what's going on and they'll have something to work off of.
