u guys all talking about less than 30 grand? must be preowned we're talking right?
40k sticker, you want to be at most 31k. Anything more and you are over paying.

You need to get out more often, these trucks aren't cheap any more.

ruppster ,I'll see it I think it's in Louisville near the carmax I got the wife's jeep from.
I hear that wook back in 2010 I got about 6k off the market price of the current truck ,they were asking 32 ,we payed just over 26,500. Seriously looking into the new 5.0 FX4 also though. bluejay was your 5.0 preowned?

No, it was not preowned. I was even the first to test ðrive it. Guy I work with bought a 2012 Platinum EB, sticker of 53,000 and he got 12,000 off then got over book on his trade in.

Oh, he had to wait for it to be unloaded off the transport before he drove it.

You do realize i own a 2011 as well right?

A 2wd fully loaded Platinum is 49k, if you can't get that to 40k or slightly below you suck at negotiations and deserve to pay an inflated price.

pay 40k for a 2wd xlt or fx2?

That kind of money should put you close to a Platinum 4x4 with all the options.

Regardless of the trim level just make sure you get one that doesn't shudder, miss and fall on it's face when taking off. My 2012 has 550 miles and all of the aforementioned symptoms. Not a happy camper.

Sounds as if it needs a reflash. What engine?

I would be at the dealer tomorrow if they offered the EB with the reg cab shortbed config., even better with a 5 speed manual trans. It cannot be that much of a loser for Ford to roll a few of those off the line ea. year. Not everybody needs or wants a sc or rc longbed.

I'd be happy with a 3.7 RCSB if it had a manual trans available.

I think Ford just doesn't want to EPA certify a manual trans in the F-150 with any engine. The only full size pickup left with a manual is the Ram 2500/3500 with the Cummins diesel.

They should certify a manual trans. They've got them here in Australia in the xr6, xr6 turbo, xr8, f6 etc. much more fun to drive!

Fixed it for you. T56 FTW. I have a daughter, 3 in the Lightning doesn't cut it, really needed the S-cab. I would have liked the ecoBoost with a t56, I'm sure the tow capacity wouldn't be as high and that EPA mileage would be a little lower. Manuals seem to be a little less mpg than autos with current ratings.

Cool

When I ordered my 2011 Lariat 4x4, it stickered at 50,230.00. Before I added a few things on I paid 41,300.00 approx. I'll have to look again at the paper work. I financed about 10,000 and the rest cash. Paid it off in six months. Own free and clear.......
