I forget that you don't recognize anything as a truck unless it's an EB 4X4.

base xlt supercab eco 4x4 offroad stickers at 37,660. That's a 28k truck if you can negotiate. Also leaves you roughly 2k to add in for options and still fall under that 30k price point or upgrade to a supercrew and just squeeze in.

$9-$10k off is not un reasonable if you are patient and shop around on a truck with a 38k sticker.

I agree with 06yz. 10k off msrp is well within reason, generally speaking. Really though, we should be talking invoice price and helping the OP come in under that.

yea the xlt 4x4 on the lot up here was a super cab sticker was 40,000 even.

but fellas anyways I test drove the 5.0 today. and the eco again. and by the way if u haven't drove the eco u gota get in one cuz she almost sold me on it.
brings me to my point I gota go with the new 5.0 liter 4v.. the ecoboost has insane torque and I was ******* her a little today testing out the manual shifting ; its a torquey man.

gota run with the 5.0 tho ,newly developed TT 3.5 domestic is a lil sketch for my old school conventional ***. great trucks ,I don't wana risk voided the warranty with mods etc etc . either way if you haven't drove the ecoboost yet go try it !! drove this beast today ,fresh from the factory in michigan,7 miles on the engine.

goin with a FX4 5.0 ,3.55 LS gears ,now what color is the next decision? I really like that race red ,with black leather interior . either that or that tuxedo black ,with black leather interior.

That will be a great truck. Of course, I'm a little partial to the black.

Nah...just get the luxury package on that FX4 so you get the cooled seats.

About price - especially if you hate having to negotiate.

I just bought a 2012 F-150 Ecoboost Supercrew FX4 with the appearance and luxury package in Tuxedo Black. It stickered for $46,665.00.

I used Consumer Report's website and their pricing service (which is free) and within minutes had dealers calling me. Needless to say the next morning I had an offer on the table for the truck listed above for just north of $38k. ZERO haggling. By the way...that was delivered to my door three hours away from the dealership without signing anything yet. All in all not the $10k that others have mentioned here (which had I known about I would have pushed harder) but it was still over $8000 in saving compared to sticker. Also...for the record...I have access to the X-Plan via my employer. The $38k beat the X-Plan price by about $3000.

who wouldn't want a 7.3!? well never mind the fact it is still a thirsty V-8.
