Hello all,

Im new here and I just ordered my first Ford on 03/30/2012. I ordered the Tux Black fx4 appearance package with luxury and ecoboost screw. I have been told this week by my dealer that there is a huge delay in these trucks and they do not know when I can hope to see a VIN let alone a build date. Do any of you have experience ordering these trucks from factory? Same delay? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am now stuck wether to keep my order or take something else and pass up on my dream truck. Thanks again.

Depends on alot of things. can range between 5 weeks to months.

Have you had the dealer look for the truck in their database?

 

Yes I had the dealer have a look in the database but no luck that why I had to factory order. They originally said the normal 6-8 weeks with a maybe 12 but now they are saying more than 12 is most likely.

 

There is no rhyme or reason....some orders are quick (5-6 weeks) others are longer...(12 weeks). That is the only down side with a factory order.....the waiting...if its your dream ride....it will be worth the wait.....

 

Just wait it out, it will be worth it. Dealer told me 6-8 weeks, truck was build in 4 weeks.
My wait occurred from the rail yard in Phila to the dealer in NJ.
