LineX Liner rail question

I am taking my new f150 into the dealer tomorrow for a black lineX liner. I am curious about the general consensus on over the rails or keep the plastic rails? My last liner got pretty faded but now see that they are better today then back then. So what is everyone doing? Keeping the plastic rails or spraying the liner on the rails?

I kept the plastic rails. They aren't that expensive and easy to replace if they fade.

I wouldn't spray over the rails either...and I didn't care if it faded out a little so I got the lowest end one you can get. My 12 year old linex on my 01 isn't faded enough for me to take note of.

I thought when you pulled the factory rail covers it had a lot of holes in that would allow the cover to snap into for a secure fit and over the rail was not an option? I did under the rails and it looks good so far after 3 years, but I didn't do the xtra to keep the shine, I think it looks good flat.

I decided to keep the plastic rails. I am happy with the liner. Especially since it was FREE!!!
