It's not THEIR fault or Ford's fault that YOU put bad gas in it. Be glad they didn't make you pay for the gas!

They COULD have charged you for all their troubleshooting time, because technically bad gas is NOT a warranty issue.

um...THEY filled it up when I bought it and I hadn't put new gas in it since. Therefore, it was THEIR bad gas, NOT mine. Plus I don't even think it's going to fix it cause it's not like there was any old gas in there in the first place. I specifically remember the salesman telling me that he had to fill up before he got here (he drove it from Austin to San Antonio) cause he was so low. He told me he put a couple gallons in just to get to the dealer here and then once he got here THEY filled up completely, which was the same tank I had been using when I brought it in. That means the DEALER put bad gas in it.

First off, I buy a brand new vehicle, it starts acting up, so I bring it in and was super cool about how long it took them to fix it, AND I didn't even get a rental

You can't complain about something when you voluntarily turned it down and that in no way means they should give you something else for xx amount of money in place of it.

Um yes I can! I can expect to have as much gas in it as when I turned it in, that is for sure. Are you nuts?

And btw, it's not fixed. Just went out about 5 mins ago and it's doing the exact same thing...I kinda figured it wasn't bad gas.

Well I figured it out for real this time, thanks to Mike at 5startuning. He mentioned how Ford has different cold start tables, and the first one the ECU looks at on cold start is one where ignition timing is retarded....yes, retarded! So I hooked my phone up to the OBD2 port and sure enough, when I first start it, the ECU retards ignition timing 9 degrees! No WONDER it'll barely run!! What a stupid move by Ford. Check it out for yourself....

I've already ordered 3 tunes from Mike where he has changed the cold start timing from a negative value to 20*. I'm certain this will fix the issue.

Too funny, a tuner knows more about the engine than Ford techs and their equipment themselves. Must make you feel good there is a reputable tuner for the 5.0 , nobody is really touching the EB.

What did they say when you got it back from the shop? I have a 12' FX4 5.0 as well with about 2400 miles. It has died once while in reverse at really low RPMs, several times when I first start it up and put it in drive it starts jerking like it's about to die. Always loved F150s so this is kind of let down.

EXACTLY what was happening to me. I would bet it's the exact same issue

Yeah, gives me ZERO confidence in their so called "engineers". Then again, who's to even say the stealership was even in contact with them.....they were probably just lying to me the entire time. Love my F-150 but Ford sucks.
