Thanks Everyone! I am thoroughly enjoying it, but am still kicking myself for not waiting on the 2013. Oh well, there is always something better on the horizon.

Anyways.. Congrats and enjoy..
eh, the pirelli's are treating me alright at the moment. Unlike all the other FX appearance package trucks mine actually came with the all-terrain pirelli's instead of the 2wd street pirelli's. I am not complaining though! I would like to get the white letters flipped in sometime soon if I am not going to trade them off.. we will see how winter treats them around here.

Not too much right now. Since I kept the 05 I won't do anything crazy that is for sure. I am thinking I might get a small level and some slightly up-sized tires down the road, for now she is being put to work almost every weekend. For now she has tint front and rear, bed lined, wheel wells painted, full show quality detail, and the stripe gone. The future might bring another tonneau cover with the bakflip VP, and some other small details like a Projector retrofit and some Rigid LED's for when I am on the backroads.

Not trying to start a whole war here, but I prefer 5.0 over the Eco tho.
Well, I went into the purchase and debated both, did a lot of research, a lot of driving, etc and always came back to the EB. It was just smoother and more fluid feeling to me. It almost felt like ford inentionally made the 5L a little rougher all around to push the EB.. IDK? I like the consistancy of the 5L and the V8 rumble was great, but in the end I checked the box for the EB. Both are excellent motors though, we certainly can't go wrong with either behind the blue oval up front.

That's a nice looking truck!
It'll be an eye-catcher going down the road.

Looks sweet man! I'm looking to get an EB soon myself with a similar mod plan as you...stock height with simple add ons like tint, retrofit, sound system, bed spray etc....I'm sick of 12mpg from my old 5.4L.

Thanks man, I am still loving the EB. The fluid feel and power are pretty awesome! She is a workhorse who has yet to let me down. 3k on the clock and still averaging 17.5 mostly highway. MPG's are still creeping up, but I was a happy camper at 17.

I hardly notice the fugly plate anymore, but all the vanity plates I have come up with where either taken or denied.

Can't .. Texas is a two plate state.

Very sharp looking truck. Definitely better without the stripe and the Ecoboost badge (the latter doesn't go well with a red truck at all). Your MPGs seem about right for 4x4 and 3.73 rear. I'm sure you have a hard time keeping your foot out of it like I do.

Did you spray the wheel wells yourself? If so, what did you use?

Thanks, I am pretty obsessed with making the MPGs climb.. And figuring the quirks of this motor. So far it seems 65 is the optimal speed where I am at for keeping the mileage pretty consistent and steady. BUT I love getting on it occasionally, especially when passing... It's like a dang slingshot

Yes I did. I just scrubbed the fender wells really well with soap/water and a Brillo pad, wiped it down with alcohol, taped off what I needed to and sprayed them with some rust-o-leum (sp?) undercoat. Same stuff I used on my 05 that has held up great.

Beautiful truck congrat's! Small leveling kit and slightly larger tires is all it need's for a great looking daily driver.

LOL - I didn't even notice you had taken the strip off until someone else posted a note about it. BUT I will say that I think it looks better with it off. Truck looks HOT! Rims look good on the bright color truck. I didn't get it on my new '12 because the black on black was too mono-color for me.
