Plenty of chances to do that up in the Panhandle, lots of 2 lane roads to pass traffic on. (I lived in Amarillo all my life until 2 years ago, logged many miles on the highways around there).

Yep. It's a pretty good place to live, but I am also leaning towards a change of scenery. Been looking for more exciting work in the DFW area. I wish FWFD was going to be testing sometime soon...

The Panhandle Sunrises are pretty awesome:

Thats what people who aren't from Texas just don't understand! We have some incredible sunrises and sunset. What other state can you drive from one end to the next and get just about every geography you can imagine?!

Sometimes I miss it too, but one thing I don't miss is being flat broke all the time which is why I left for Austin.

Truck looks good man! How big of a tire are you going to go with? Been debating of picking up a new EB or 6.2 crew cab 4wd and running 37's with a long travel kit. My only worry the EB will always be in constant boost due to the larger tires thus 9-12 MPG if I am lucky! The 6.2 will be the same in MPG or better, going with the 4.10 rear end ratio.

Guess I could look at a silverado half ton or get another cummins, options options, LOL.

There won't be anything crazy with this truck since I kept the 05, kinda boring I know.... I may go up a size or two down the road, but I am still undecided. I am more focused on functional mods right now. Stuff like projector retrofits, a lot of LED auxiliary lighting, just some small stuff really.
