Just picked up a 12' XLT Screw 5.0. After d-plan and rebates it was right around $26.5 + TTL. Keep in mind mine was pretty stripped.

Sticker - 41,955
Invoice - 38,576

Got the dealer down to - 38,319
Deduct Incentives (5,250) - 33,069
Trade Equity - 2,262
TTL/Fees - 1,193

OTD at $32,000.

Without trade I got $8,886 off the truck. I purchased the truck in February of 2012. Dealer traded for it, it was about 90 miles away. Details in sig. Same truck today MSRP is around 42,700. A pricey XLT IMO. I was able to get the dealer $257 under invoice without any type of Ford plan i.e. A,D,X,Y or Z.

Pretty much exactly what my deal was on basically the same truck except mine is the 5.0, and I had heated leather seats added to mine. MSRP and invoice prices are very close and so is the price for which I purchased the truck. Our trucks are even the same color!

A good friend of mine is the perennial top salesman for the volume dealership where I bought the truck, and he's been trying to sell me a new truck for years. Once I felt like I got the best overall deal (new truck price, trade-in allowance, extras, etc), he finally did sell me a new truck. As he handed me the keys, he smiled and said, "I won!"

Later, I stopped by to say hello to my friend, and I asked him, frankly, how well the dealership really did on my deal. He pulled me into his office and after making me swear to not breathe a word to anybody there, he showed me their copy of the deal sheet that shows profit, etc. They lost $1677 on my deal.

Now, I know they made that up and then some when they sold my old truck (it actually sold before they could get it prepped for the lot!), and that's fine. However, I felt good about the deal I negotiated on the new truck.

You got a new rig? Did I miss that? When did you buy it?

They also had my '10 sold that Saturday morning.... sat on their lot for less than 48 hours.

With your z-plan you should be in good shape...you'll get right around dealer invoice less any incentives that are going on right now. On top of that I think I saw that Ford is doing 0%/60 month financing as well with approved credit. I've been fortunate enough to have that kind of financing on two different vehicles, and it's very nice to know that all of your payments are going directly to the principal of the loan.

You either get incentives or 0% but usually not both.

I took the rebates since Penfed Credit union has new/used loans at 1.49%

I have my vehicle financed with Penfed as well. If you can finance with them it is tough to beat their rates. With Penfed it's tough to come out financially with 0% from Ford and forfeit the rebates. Also if you are prone to trade often, when you take the rebates you are quicker to escape being upside down on your loan.

I've been able to use X-plan pricing, 0% interest, plus incentives with two different vehicles at my local dealer.

Z plan like all Ford discount plans are not guaranteed on every unit, they are only honored if the dealer chooses to do so. If it is a SVT or high demand vehicle such as Ecoboost, King Ranch etc the dealer will usually decline to honor Z plan.
For my last two trucks I bought in September with 5,500 in rebates, invoice minus the holdback and 300 commission. So it is usually around 9-10k off a screw FX4.
Here is a snip of the invoice showing holdback, invoice, A-Z,X D plan etc...

Wow, you guys got some GREATTT deals on these New Body Style trucks. I am literally DYING to get out of my 05' and into a 2012 FX2 Supercrew with a 5.0!
I've seen them for around ehh, in the 37K range out here at the Ford dealerships in Houston, Tx!

I only owe about 6,000K on the 05'! Its nice and modded [Lowered, Full Exhaust, Retrofit, LEDs all around, blah, blah, blah] & very well taken care of. Last time I went inquiring about a Dodge Charger SRT8 about a year ago, they were gonna give me 10,000K for the truck. That was when I owed about 12K too! So if I go looking, hopefully they'll give me a nice trade-in Allowance.

I also get the X-Plan Discount! I think its like $2,500 off MSRP!

Thing is, I'm trying to get into a new vehicle with ZERO down outta my pocket...Trade In, Plus the X-Plan Discount & with all the incentives that I'm seeing and Ford coming off 5k-9K should really put me in something paying around the same that I pay for this 05'!
I guess half of that will depend on my Credit Score which I'm trying to bump up a little bit more before I go looking, but everytime I see a Brand New FX2 rolling by me, I get sick to my stomach lol! I want out of this thing.

What do y'all think they would do? Any opinions, ideas?

Just a word of caution on using X plan: it isn't necessarily the best deal out there. Especially this time of year with the 2013s coming out, you can probably do better than X plan on a 2012 that is sitting on a lot somewhere. I was planning to use X plan at first, but then I started asking around and ultimately I bought my new FX4 for about $850 below invoice, saving me roughly $1000 over the X plan price.

I would imagine you'd be better off selling your truck yourself to get the most for it, since it is modified.

For 0% financing, I think you typically need a credit score of 720 or above. If you don't know your score it's worth paying a few bucks to buy it via annualcreditreport.com. As others have mentioned you won't get any rebates if you take this financing deal. In most cases it's better to take the rebates cause interest rates are pretty low these days.

After haggling and incentives you should be able to do better than $37k for a fx2 I think. I just bought a fx4 with luxury package, running boards, trailer brake and tailgate step. Msrp was 44,865. My price before incentives was 39,615. You should be able to buy at invoice at least, which is usually in the neighborhood of $4k off Msrp, but you can look it up pretty easily. Ford has $4000 in rebates if you finance with them ($3000 if you don't). A little more if you end up trading in. Consider financing with ford and refinancing right away with a credit union. You will probably get a better rate and get the extra $1000 in rebate.

Purchased a '12 FX2 with the FX2 Luxury package, 20s, 3.55, 5.0, and sunroof last week. MSRP with all the options was $43200. I paid $33700. Had I financed through FMCC, it would have been $32,200. Dealer was Mack Haik in Houston, Tx.
