I stopped taking pictures once we were putting it back together... Only have before and during pics. Sorry

before:

The cut:

Basically the whole "bracket" is gone and it bolts on the crossmember with the small shim in between.

This is how we lowered the gas tank with a floor jack and a 4x6 (called the log)

ELERB,
While I wait for the kit to come in. You happen to have a pic of the carrier bearing kit installed?

So.... Do all the 2 piece drive shaft trucks need the carrier bearing kit? ... I was looking at a 2.5/4 djm or 2/4 mcgaughys ... If it doesnt have the vibrations is it ok, will u damage anything ?..... I just don't want to mess up a 2 week old truck lol

I have still yet to find a kit on the Internet or the 09+ with a part number... Do all the parts have to be used? Like trans shim, relocator and shims on leaves

Youngone2012......... I would recommend the leaf springs over the flip kits. I did have a DJM flip kit installed. The 4" and 5" versions. I didn't like the ride of my truck after using the flip kits. The GF leaf springs do cost a little more but well worth it now that I have them on my truck. With every thing install it rides like a champ.

Check this out:
This what Deric from Ground Force sent me. No part numbers. They don't list these parts seperately. Just call him then tell him what you need.

The leaf springs we can do $539 for the pair

The Carrier bearing relocation kit would be $75

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks!

By everything, I mean GF CB relocation kit that comes with 2.5 degree shims and tranny mount spacer. Along with the GF leaf springs!! Remember what a flip kit actually does. It puts the axle on top of the springs. I wasn't a fan of that in the 1st place but it was cheaper then the leaf springs!' the leaf springs are a direct replacement of the factory springs!! I liked that idea alot better when it came to my brand new truck!!

Got an email from Deric this past week. He says the kit for RCSB is almost ready. Are the truck mentioned in this thread not RCSB's??? Really like to get the correct parts and take care of the issue when I lower the truck.
