My New Ride

Ford marketing and incentives got the best of me.

I traded in my 2011 XTR (Eco) Supercrew and picked up a gorgeous 2012 Lariat (5.0L V8) Supercrew.

Here she is ~ Back In Black

I've only owned her a week so no mods yet although I do have a few things in mind. First touch will likely be a Line-X bed liner.

Nice truck. How do you like the 5.0 compared to the EB?

Yeah, my thoughts too. Why the change?

Thanks!

I did not really have any issues with my Eco and have no strong views against it.

Mileage was only a hair better than V8 owners were getting under identical driving conditions.

In researching for my new purchase, I discovered a much larger number of dissatisfied Eco owners than I expected and realized that twin turbos and intercoolers could lead to costly repairs.

I do not have any other "toys" to haul so towing payload is not a huge concern for us.

All in all, I like the 5.0L much more. This baby sounds like a truck.

Nice ride, congrats, i think i may have to retire my 07, but i will opt for a 13 now that Ford has opened up availability of 6.2 across more trim levels.

Sweet truck!

The incentives are good right now on the Lariats. My dealer is selling the for $3k mute than I paid for my XLT. If only I had waited a couple months.

Sweet ride!! I'm actually thinking about trading in my 2011 Eco for a Superduty diesel. If you don't mind me asking i was wondering what kind of hit you took trading in the 2011???

No worries, Kevin.

They gave me $29,400 Cdn, which was actually higher than I expected.
