Torque Converter lockup issue with engine/tranny are cold
My 09 F150 with the 5.4 has been in the shop twice to have the tranny reprogrammed for the shudder and shifting bumps, but neither time have made a difference on this issue.
The issue I am having, which I think is common with the 09-10 6 speed tranny's is that when the engine and tranny are cold, there appears to be no power getting to the wheels when you give it alot of throttle. The engine revs up and the transmission appears to be shifting correctly, it's just that there is no torque to make the truck get up and go.
My question is this: Do any of the "tuners" address this issue? I'm not looking for "which tuner is best? which tuner gives the most horsepower? etc..." as I have read tons of post on that. I'm really just trying to find out which ones, if any, will address this issue.
Thanks in advance for your help!
