I'm back

Ok, I doubt anyone noticed I was gone but I sold my 2010 to free up some debt to buy a home. Well I got the house stuff taken care of and decided it was time to get back in an F-150.

2012 Screw XLT 5.0

Here is the pic as it was waiting at the dealer.

It poured all day so I'll get some more next week after I detail it. Plans are to keep this one modest. Level, 20's w/34" A/T's, exhaust, tint and tune. Maybe Harley heads and tails.

Here is my old 2010.

Oh I remember! Your old truck was in my top 5 faves around here! I seriously considered buying it when you were selling.

Welcome back! SUPER good lookin' new truck, bud! The 5.0 is a sweet little engine, huh? Can't wait to see what you do to this one!

Thanks guys.

I was initially after an FX4 but keept looking over at the XLT's. I figured I'd go a different route this time.

I love the 5.0, even with the 3:55 gears it's a monster compared to my old 2v 4.6. The e-locker for the rear is a great feature and being able to stream music through Bluetooth is pretty cool.

6.5 bed. I wasn't sure about it at first but it's growing on me.

5.0 < 5.4 > 4.6

No replacement for displacement.

I should know better than to start this topic again, but it sure is a fun banter.

In all seriousness, we sure are glad you came back to the oval once the house things got settled. Sure would have been sad if you went the bow tie route, or worse.

Ok, due to some issues with the dealer and the truck I walked on the deal. Major fiasco. Went to the other dealer in town and a black'12 FX4 screw was calling my name. I'm much happier with this truck, just something about an all black truck....

I'll start a build thread when I get some better pics.

Bummer to hear about dealership fiascos. Glad you found another one you liked. Nice truck , I love streaming my music via BT. It's a much better signal then the headphone jack.

man i hate on dealers who jerk people around! but looks like you got a nicer truck what with the FX4 package on it! and this one is a shot box where as the other was a long box?

I like the FX better.... I went and looked at loaded down FX4 yesterday. I may call them and see where they are on it. My fiance thinks I am a lunatic .
