Got a build date today. Dec 17th, and the dealer anticipates delivery a month to month and a half after that. Another day closer......

I like boosted engines too, but I'd much rather have a boosted 5.0!

^ Yep, agree'd. I actually had a post a month or so ago that showed a factory Ford twin turbo 5.0 in the Cobra Jet Mustang

Gerrard, congrats on the new truck. I ordered mine 11/16, and haven't heard a thing about a build date. So you are ahead of me by a step or two.

Got the the build date of 12/10/12. I haven't heard anything else, but expect it has made it the the ramp. Hoping it at least has been loaded on the train, and on the way to the drop yard by now.

G-155,

I to am waiting for my new one after ordering in the beginning of November. Looking like January at this point. I essentially ordered the same truck but, Ingot Silver, slate leather, & bed side steps instead of tailgate step (although if I was older I would have gotten it!).
See you are in AK. My brother lives in the Mat-Su valley. Can't wait till my next visit!

Admittedly the tailgate step is more of a consolation to my girlfriend, as she is quite a bit shorter than I am lol. But I do use it, and there have been a few times I have been very happy to have it. I will probably end up adding the side steps myself, but for now I passed on them because I had to ensure I fell within my budget. Plus, you can get them after the fact for about the same as what you would pay for them from the factory. There are just a ton of options, and if I had gone with everything I wanted the truck was $55k or something like that-way too much for me.

It is really beautiful here, although not currently(-44 degrees F).

Truck built tomorrow, getting closer!

Got a dealer delivery date today-week of the 29th(right within the range my salesman predicted). I am losing my mind waiting, but I know it will be worth it. Plus, in the time since I ordered, incentives have skyrocketed by $2,500. That puts my overall incentives to a whopping $6,750. I am looking at getting into my truck for under $39. $11k+ off: I like!

On a side note, I went and test drove a 2013 Ram and I can say-Wow. Its a very nice truck. Wasnt even a fully loaded Laramie or anything-just a midrange Big Horn. Fantastically comfortable seats and tons of storage space(one of the things that irks the hell outta me about the F150). Plus they seem to be the only one of the big three that has figured out that people dont necessarily want a fully loaded luxury truck to get some creature comforts like heated seats/steering wheel and sunroof. To be honest, if the incentives had been higher I would have been making a very difficult decision. Definitely nice to see Ram bringing it, curious to see what Ford has to say about it.....

Gerrard - I agree with you. The wait is fine in the beginning but, as the arrival time nears you start to loose your mind! I find myself staring a new ones driving by and imagine myself behind the wheel lol. Yeah, first time I ordered a truck or any new vehicle.
What incentives are you planning on getting? I haven't looked at them recently but, my truck is supposed to arrive by the end of the month so i'm curious as to what I can expect....thanks.

Glad your wait is almost over, Gerrard! Be sure to post pics when you get it.

You'll be glad you didn't get a Ram. Dodge had a hard enough time keep 6 (or even 4!) speed trannys together. Not sure why they think they'll have good luck with 8! And that Fisher Price turn dial? Naaahhhh!

The current incentives that I qualify for are-

$500-College Bonus Cash
$1,500-5.0L Retail bonus cash(only $1k on STX)
$1,500-Ford Retail Bonus Cash(only $500 on STX)
$1,500-Ford "First Three Payments" Incentive
$1,000-Ford Credit Incentive
$750-F150 Brochure coupon

$6,750-Total incentives

If you are military or police you can get an additional $500 as well. Pretty fat incentives, I have a hard time picturing them being much higher at any point this year. Makes me feel good about the timing of my order!

Gerrard155,

Thanks for sharing. I just checked with my zip code and you are right, there are quite a few incentives right now! I'm hoping my $750 coupon comes soon since I requested it back in december for the icing on the cake. The only thing that I noticed when checking out the incentives is that it said in small print "some lariat models may not qualify" or something similar. I wonder what the heck that means?

DB: Yeah, I saw the new Ram commercial with the rotary shifting **** and thought that it has no place in a truck. JMHO though.

I didnt see anything about the lariat not qualifying when I looked up incentives, but that may be a regional thing. In terms of the brochure coupon, you can have your salesman look it up-you dont actually have to have the coupon in hand. He will just need your name and the address you had it sent to. Getting closer!
