Power tailgate lock with the 2013 Platinum?

The Pace Edwards instructions........... http://www.pace-edwards.com/images/pdf/pglk370.pdf leads me to think that this might rattle like a ****. Closing a tailgate to "patwaaaaaaaaaanggggggg" would grow old quickly. Is there something I missed in the instructions that secures this thing tightly?

Mine is in... I used a normal unlock actuator which I had in the garage from the old days putting them in with alarms... worked like a champ... whole job $4 for 40 feet of wire... and 4 connectors and a few zip ties... Didn't manufature anything really just bent a peice of metal into a rectangle and bolted the the tailgate... and NO Rattles...

The keypad unlocks anything hooked into the door lock circut... so the answer is yes. The question is weather or not you can still use the key in the tailgate to unlock. Some systems do not allow this and if so when they break you will have no access into the tail gate to fix them.

You can use your key. Look at the instructions to use a 1 inch and 3/4 inch spacer that's what I did. Takes about an hour and a half. Different years have different wire colors but almost all found and listed in that thread.
