ok so I have an 2013 FX4 with appearence package (why anyone wouldnt get this option bewilders me) and I have purchased the bed extender, replacement front plate bracket molded piece (no plate bracket) under seat plastic bin-

opinions on the following- Gonna tint the **** out of the windows, add rain guards, hood bug visor guard, black front bumper area grill inserts, spray in bed liner, new retractable tonneau hard cover, black bed rails

What else can i do to make the exhaust louder with a dual exhaust tip set up, one tip per each side? CAI systems? rear tail light light bar, leveling kit, ?????????

You didn't say what engine you have, Im guessing ecoboost from the license plate bracket comment?

I have a 5.0 fx2 and went with the flowmaster cat back kit with the 40 series. It has a great sound but it is loud. also the tips bounced and moved alot when driving so i removed them and installed dumps. I also went with a afe cai. I would recomend getting a tuner before the cai. I installed mine and so far with no tune and I am running rich, not enough to set a engine light but the inside of my exhaust is very black with soot and my mpg went down.

Exhaust on an ecoboost is likely going to sound like a ricer. I'd keep it stock if it were me, in which case i have a 2013 FX2 ecoboost without the appearance package. Mine is red and I really dislike the stripes on the red. The ecoboost has plenty of performance, in my opinion I'd stray away from performance modifications because ultimately you bought a truck, it isn't meant to go fast. It is meant to perform in which these trucks do quite well sitting as they are. On the other hand, looking into tint, bed cover, etc...IMO you are on the right track there. Have you considered the electric bed covers?

Congrats on your new truck. I am also a new owner of a FX4 with the 5.0.
It is a major step down form my 2010 F250 6.4 as far as a truck ride, but it makes up for it in luxury.

Whatever mods make you happy, go for it.

I have had my truck 2 days.
Tinted front window, Ford ovals, reflectors on mirrors. Nightshade the 3rd brake light.
Added alarm system
Rancho Quick Lift Struts on order.
Bak Fibermax on order.
Pace Tailgate Powerlock and EZ down tailgate installed.

Next will be upgrading the sound system.
