2012 Eboost Screw. Is this a good deal?

Im looking at buying a used F-150 from a dealership that does not haggle. They say they will not budge at all. They dont play games like other dealer ships and sticker is what your paying.

Heres the truck.

2012 Super Crew FX4 Ecoboost 5.5ft bed 3.73 locker Blue Flame
5600 miles
Leather seats/heated cooled/10 way adjust
moon roof
remote start
20" painted rims
bed liner
tonneau cover
tow package
rear camera
rear backup sensors
running boards
luxary package
memory seats
power fold mirros.

They want 36998.

Also has 3m covering on the front of the truck. And doesnt have a mark on it anywhere.

I think its a good deal for the miles and options. It has just about everything but navigation and appearance package.

Truck was a lease.

The trucks MSRP was 47,000 with all the options it has. I built one on fords website using the 2012 option list. To build an equivilant 2013, you just do an FX4, and check the 402A box. But you dont get the moon roof.

I have searched everywhere for new/used for an optiond FX4 around that price and have came up with zip. They all want 43-44. (which i know they will come down)

I could buy a brand new 2013 exactly the same as this truck(woudl come with HID's and touch scree) for $41,110. 200 over invoice from a local dealer, but basically still spending 4k more for a few less miles HIDS,touchscreen, and one model year newer. It may be the better bang for buck, but im trying to be as practical as i can. Its still more money, and i there isnt any extra value as far as usefullness to me. I would love to buy a new one, just seems that i come back to it still costs more.

Thats why im trying to figure out if this truck is a fair price.

Get the vin# and have your local dealer run an oasis report.....that will show its history.
If there's any indication that there's been misfire issues or hesitation on the report, stay away and just get the new one

I wouldnt-in my mind its not worth the minimal savings to pass up the goodies you can get on the 2013s. Plus, if you buy new you get more warranty, better resale. I would go new in this instance....

If the trucks report shows it to be problem free. I'd be all over it.

5500 miles. Its a Car Max dealer. The oasis report shows that it had a tail light replaced because there was moisture in it. Everything else is clean.

Even has the 3m clear stick on cover on the front painted parts to protect it from chips.

Do you need all those options?

I recently looked at buying a used 2010 Lariat with all the options.

I ended up buying a new 2012 XLT after Thanksgiving.... less options, but it had everything I really wanted and for about the same price as the used 2010 Lariat.

Just a thought.
(I upgraded from a 2004 FX4 so I know how nice FX4's are. I kinda miss the FX4 styling. But I really like my new truck)

sounds like a decent deal. If it is at a carmax most likely it was buyer's remorse/life happened and they couldnt afford it. Usually carmax is pretty good for people looking to sell their cars.

The dealers around here are marking new 2013 FX4's with the 5.0 V8 9k+ off as a starting price for negotiating. These are 2013 FX4s with the included touchscreen and nav included. I would say if you don't need an ecoboost and want to go negotiate you can do just as good price wise with a new truck.

The 5.0 arguement is a good one. You are looking at a $2600 difference between an eco and a 5.0, might be worth considering....

Check edmunds.com. It'll give you a pretty good idea where the price should be... From your description it sounds like a decent deal.

Sounds like a good deal to me! My 2011 is the exact same truck except the color and i have the 6.5' bed with max tow pkg. My MSRP was 47,xxx and i paid 41,000 for mine. Go for it!
P.s. I just checked on kelly blue book the other day and it says mine is still worth $36,500 in excellent shape. So the 2012 has to be worth more!
