On the platinum F-150, the ambient lights are controlled via the touch screen, under the "vehicle" settings. I have a fully loaded 2013 FX4. I've ordered the F-150 ambient lighting kit, I'm going to let the dealer install it. Will the lighting be controlled via the touch screen? Will the ambient lighting line under "vehicle" be available when the lights are plugged in? Will the truck recognise the newly plugged in lights? Can the software on the my ford touch be updated to show that I have ambient lighing now? 2 ford dealers give me the scooby-doo question look and nobody at the Ford 800 numbers has ANY idea what I'm talking about.

Any Ford techies out there?

I believe that the kit is only operated by a switch that is included in the kit. I know for sure that the Ford Ambient light kit IS NOT the same as what you would get in a Platinum, different lighting effects
