Im leaning toward the fx4 now. both are nice but that flow through console is nice and the added a/c vents are a welcome addition for texas summers.

Lux package 402A has that feature.... salty upgrade ($5,420 then $1k deduct before final MSRP), but worth it IMO.

You have to decide if it's worth the extra $10K to get the upgraded interior and other appearance stuff. For me, it wasn't.
I do love the looks of the FX4s, so I worked 'free' leather into my deal then added some FX4-like appearance mods that didn't cost anywhere near $10K.
To each his own. If it's worth the extra money to you, go fer it! If not, the lowly, 'cheap' XLTs can be modded quite nicely for not a lot of dough.

I just bought a 2013 FX4 5.0, black on black with cloth seats. The only difference I saw between the XLT and the FX4 was the center console (My preference) and the instrument cluster. Personally I went with the 5.0 for two main reasons Turbo's are extremel;y expense especially times two, and the EB only has 5 more horsepower, and 40 more pounds of torque ( at the fly wheel) and if you read the news Ford is currently in a law suit over the failure of the EB's in certain conditions.

Wait until one of the seat heaters stop working, off warranty.
Cost me 500$ 10 years ago.
16 months later, it quit again.

Exactly, my "cheap looking" XLT has quite a few mods and between my new BF T/A tires, level and Katzkins, I am still sitting at less money put in than if I would have bought the FX4. I will got with an XLT any day. With that being said, I am still a little skeptical on the EB, just from personal reasons/experiences. Congrats on coming back to the F-150 though!!

After putting the flow through console in my truck, I don't think I could go back to the jumpseat setup--I just like the look too much. I've got less than a year left to pay on my truck, but I'm gonna wait for the NBS to see how they do--around the 2nd year I'll prolly park my Grey Ghost and get a new truck.
All that said, it'll be an FX, either 2 or 4 lol
