2014 F-150 news

There are a lot of people who would never even think of buying the last year of a vehicle design. When I heard that Ford was going to shed all that weight AND redesign, I decided I needed to go ahead and get a new truck now. I really like the current design. There has been quite a bit of refinement since this design was introduced.
The current weight/handling of the F-150 SCREW is perfectly matched to the weight of the boat I currently tow. I don't buy trucks for the mileage. I am not taking any chances on the 2015 F-150 Light. lol

I completely agree. All the emissions crap, combined with the diesel "power war," is causing the crappy MPG numbers. Get a slightly older truck that doesn't use diesel exhaust fluid, run a turbo back exhaust, and delete the EGR (w/ tune), and you'll get the numbers back up. I'd rather have a sluggish 7.3 than a 6.7 all day long. Pre 2004.5 5.9 cummins can still get MPG's in the low 20's. New ones? Not even close. I hate how "green" gov't policies actually make everything worse. But what else is new concerning gov't . . .

25mpg in the right configuration truck shouldn't be too hard...just rode in one that hit 24.3 on a straight hwy run @65 to 70mph. 2013 Scab XL 5.0...3.31 gear's 4x2 on level Louisiana and Mississippi hwys with no AC on. Truck only has a thousand miles on it. 55 to 60mph ought to hit 25mpg easily.

Has anyone heard anything else about the 2014 F-150's? This is the last model year before the next gen F-150 for 2015.

Bingo, we will likely see the 2015 new model in late Summer or early Fall of 2014. I'd imagine there will be very few changes between the 2013 & 2014...the 2013 had quite a few upgrades over the 2012 so Ford is probably going to release the 2014 mostly unchanged. I'm betting we see a 7 or 8 speed tranny in the F-150 sooner than later to help with the mpg...

And it's a Ram. I just don't understand why everyone acts like the Ram is so great. Ick! is all I have to say about the Ram.
On a much better note: I freaking love Ruby Red and it looks great on the Raptor. I wonder when Ford will announce the other 2014 F150 changes?
