What gears?

If you go with taller tires or tow anything over 5k pound's the 3.73's would be better. Just with 33 inch tires my truck feel's sluggish compared to my last truck with the 3.73's. These heavy truck's need a lower gear to get rolling...even empty!

It has been said by those in the know, that 3.55's are really only good for towing if you get the EB engine. If you are going the 5.0 route, a 3.73 is a better choice.
I personally believe in getting the tallest gear that your pocket book can handle in fuel economy. My personal recommendation is 4.10. I wish it was an option on my '10, but for whatever reason, they did not offer it on Canada destined trucks.
If you have any plans on bigger tires, the 3.55 is the worst choice in the bunch. Go big or go home.

For towing just a popup with an EB with stock size tires and no lift, even 3.15's and 3.31's are fine. You have all the low end torque and you have the nice low 1st gear in the 6 speed tranny.
3.55's are fine with a 5.0 under the same conditions. The only truck that needs 3.73's is the 3.7 because it has NO low end torque.

I had a 3.55 on my old 2010 with a 5.4, and it seemed to work very good. I got 3.73s on this EB that I have now, and I really like them. Pulls really good. I think that you will be fine with 3.55s
I like to get the lower gear choice if I can, so that gives me the most low end grunt. That is why I got the 3.73 gears on this truck. It still runs around 2000 rpm at 75 mph.

Hey OP... Where do you live? If you live somewhere like I do in the mountains with big hills, you may want the 3.73's.
I have 3.55's in my 05' with a 5.4 V8 and rode in my buddy's truck with 3.73's and the same engine and his truck barely downshifted on the hills under load. I still have plenty of get up and go, but I would have to think that in hilly terrain the 3.73's might be the way to go.
The difference might be less in the ecoboost though. (being turbo'd)

If you are even considering a leveling kit than you are going to get bigger tires down the the road I guarantee it
Leveling kit makes the truck look so nice and clean and you cant keep the dinky stockers in that massive open gap you will want to go up to 33's or 34's I would personally go with the 3.73's
I would love to gear to 4.55's with my 35's and a 6" lift it can hardly get out of its own way 07 5.4
